This Friday evening, Bastogne was once again celebrating the rally!
We’ll never tire of it! At the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne, Friday evening means a lively atmosphere for drivers, co-drivers, team members… but also for the vintage racing cars that are writing the history of this event, organized by the Royal Automobile Club of Spa. The 2026 edition lived up to tradition, proof of the rally’s enduring popularity in the province of Luxembourg.
Following a shakedown that allowed around fifty crews to rack up the kilometers on a representative course near Houffalize, the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne 2026 returned to a more traditional schedule this Friday, with an autograph session starting at 6:00 p.m., giving fans plenty of opportunities for autographs and selfies. Speaking with Thomas Bastin, the leading drivers shared their hopes and feelings just hours before the big start, while Christian Glaude, former mayor of Bertogne, was honored on the eve of his 20th participation… in 20 editions of the Legend Boucles!
As soon as the autograph session ended, excitement intensified on Bastogne’s main street for the grand parade of racing cars! It was a moment of intense connection with a very family-oriented crowd, while Liège DJ David Body kept the Bastogne Summer Festival vibes alive from the town hall balcony!
Even though this scene is repeated every year, seeing such a massive influx of spectators—whether motorsport enthusiasts or not—remains a privilege and a unique feature of Bastogne!
After a well-deserved night’s rest, the real action will begin this Saturday morning shortly before 9:00 a.m. The ‘Legend/Challenger’ group will cross the podium at Place McAuliffe at 8:53 a.m. before heading to Longvilly, just outside the city, for the first Regularity Test (RT), which starts at 9:14 a.m. The crews will then travel to Livarchamps before returning to Bastogne. Meanwhile, the ‘Classic 65/Classic 50’ group will kick off the festivities with the Sainte-Ode RT, starting at 9:11 a.m.
The competitors are ready, the fans are eagerly awaiting the action—let the competition begin… while respecting the instructions of the marshals and stewards. Spectators must remain 10 meters from the road; otherwise, the RT may be neutralized or canceled. We’re counting on you !
