The 2026 Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes

will take place on 7, 8 and 9 August.

The deliberations and discussions took some time, but in the end, the Royal Automobile Club of Spa can confirm that from now on, the Commemoration of the Circuit des Ardennes will take place on the second weekend of August, with the nerve centre still located on Place McAuliffe in Bastogne...

By ensuring the continuity of the Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes, the R.A.C. Spa has safeguarded a piece of automotive heritage! It is clear that Pierre Delettre and his team were eagerly awaited by fans of vintage and classic cars, in the context of an event with no racing connotations whatsoever. A first edition was needed to better understand the ins and outs of such an event, and in the end, it was the friendly atmosphere and the care taken in organising this Commémoration that won people over.

As we announced, we allowed all participants to share their satisfaction and any disappointments through a survey, explains Pierre Delettre. Looking through the responses received, which were overwhelmingly positive, we were able to identify some areas for improvement. One or two owners of very old cars did not find what they were looking for. Fair enough. Others were delighted with the discovery, and many told us that we could count on their presence in the future. We have never hidden the fact that we wanted this event to be a large public gathering rather than a fair for specialists and experts. At R.A.C. Spa, we are confident that this tribute to the Circuit des Ardennes will quickly find its audience, which will undoubtedly be somewhat different from the one gathered by Jacques Deneef and his team in previous editions. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the man who was behind this commemoration for his many messages of support and constant advice. The whole team appreciated it... »

All that remained was to discuss the future. Because there will inevitably be a future... “With the Legend Boucles, which we have been organising for ten years in Bastogne, we had reached the point of renewing the agreement linking us to this major town in the province of Luxembourg, so steeped in history, continues Pierre Delettre. Discussions over the last few months have therefore focused on a new agreement covering the Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes. We are therefore in a position to confirm that this ode to the first closed circuit in the history of motor racing will continue, barring any unforeseen circumstances. For various reasons, notably related to competition from other major events on the historic vehicle scene, the R.A.C. Spa wished to move its summer event forward by one month. An agreement has been reached, confirming that the Circuit des Ardennes Commemoration will now take place on the second weekend of August. This will undoubtedly deprive us of a few ‘August holidaymakers’, but July already deprived us of a handful of ‘July holidaymakers’! The 2026 edition will therefore take place on Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August. Mark your calendars!"

In a forthcoming announcement, the Royal Automobile Club of Spa will be able to confirm the major developments for this second edition, with an organising team that will be enriched by one or two respected figures from the classic car sector, as well as a theme that will be unique to each edition.

It has already been decided that the Sunday stop in Habay-La-Neuve will be maintained, in the name of history, tradition and the enthusiasm shown by local stakeholders.

It is therefore with great pleasure that the new organisers of the Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes confirm that history is more alive than ever, and that this event celebrating the sporting motor racing heritage of the province of Luxembourg is not about to fade into oblivion any time soon...

See you on the second weekend of August to reopen the great history book of motor racing, motorcycling and motorsports...
